Bees

Looking after the hive

Bees don’t  spend their time doing nothing they spend their  time  doing  the most important thing which is looking after the hive and especially their queen bee.  They build their own hive and making sure that no one will destroy it while other bees are doing other jobs.

They keep all cells clean and tidy and no damage and and keep it in right temperature. They look after it by vibrating their muscles to warm  them up, and to keep it cool they fan them with their wings.

If the bees have too much work to do they will get other bees called forager bees to go around to search for nectar and pollen.   That's what we call a hard working bee team.

carnivorous plant and bladderwort

Carnivorous Plant: Bladderworts
Bladderworts are small as your fingernail. New Zealand has heaps of types of bladderworts you see in wetland like rivers, bogs, swampy or sandy area. The bladderworts spit out water to empty their insides. When a small bug comes and presses against the bladderwort, the little bug touches the tiny hairs, bladderworts open up and  the bug gets stuck in the plant.  Then the acid or the liquid that the bladderworts produce turn the bug into food.  Did you know that a bladderworts are 100 times faster than a venus flytrap in catching their prey? The bladderwort plant has no roots because they live in the water. They need underwater bugs to live. The bladderworts catch its food using its capsule. Then it will do that again to try and get some more food.     By Maira and Amanda

Digital classroom

Digital classroom
What I learned in a digital classroom is that we used chromebooks to do our work. Chromebooks helped me in my projects as well.
I like using application on the chromebook and it was fun to use them we mostly write our work and publish them most especially our research

sometimes my friends helped me in my maths because I try to get things right and most of the time the teacher aid would take me to the library to learn my maths.

I struggle to get them correct. Whenever I still don’t get it I go home and and learn them with my mum. I am pleased with about that I’m at school to learn more application I could publish and present my work.
