Shivers on the water.
Splash! cold water running down the stream. Rocks are rubbing hard on my feet, Ouch! as I trip onto the water my face reflects on the water but lucky my face never hit onto the rocks.

People laugh at me but it's really not funny getting wet purposely in front of a bunch of students.
Its shivering cold as the cold water chills up your feet until it reaches your arms, no towel nor warm clothes to wear just shorts and a short top swimming tog.

Wind is blowing roughly getting you even colder. You would wish you were never in this Activity getting fully wet.

Time for another activity No!! It's just getting worse and Worse!! every time the longer you stay the worse you will get cold and sick.

“This is the last activity” shouts out the lady running the activity FINALLY!!! “10 seconds are left” yay!!! no more getting wet and no more shivers I am never coming back to do this activity ever again.

Hydraulic lifting Jack (made out of popsicles)

Materials

  • Hot dog sticks or Ice block sticks
  • 1 copper wire
  • one pack of blue tack
  • Image result for hydraulic lifting made of popsicle sticks going upa bunch of aluminum wire
  • syringe 2
  • 1 plastic long tube
  • sellotape
  • cardboard box
  • paper clips
  • hammer
  • nail
  • 1 needle
  • skewers or toothpicks
  • scissors

Method
First of all we poked holes in the hotdog sticks in the middle and the sides at the end.

Then we used a nail and hammer to make the hole because it was a lot more easier to poke through the sticks.

Next we connected the hotdog sticks by using copper wire and pushing the copper wire through the middle and tighten it up.

We then sellotape the tips at the sides of hotdog sticks. This is because when we hammer a hole at the ends of the hot-dog sticks, it always crack.

After, We poked the through the sellotape using a needle so that it was clear to poke through.
Then we attached two of the connected sticks to make the half of the elevator. You do the same to the other side.

Later we joined the sticks together with a skewer. We broke the skewer in half because it was too long.

With the skewers in half, we sharpened the ends with a pocket knife.

After that, we stuck the skewers in the bottom of the two sticks. We also used Blu Tack because it wouldn't stop shifting. Then it worked out pretty good.

We watched a movie and sang on the second night we also went around to the camp fire and got all the memories in our mind what we like the most about it It was a moment for everyone to take their time off.

LOWLIGHTS
  • The activities were a bit hard and hurtful because I cut my finger in archery. I did not like the river games because I could feel my foot scraping on the rocks and it was a bit cold to get wet.

  • when we were baking dampers the dampers were dry and not cooked properly the smoke just kept on coming towards us.

  • We did  not get to read a book when we wake up early

  • Teachers were standing out our door listening to us It was a bit weird why they exactly were listening to us.

  • People were rushing people when they were in the shower and the showers were not enough for people to fit us in.

WHAT DO WE NEED TO IMPROVE NEXT TIME

  • Teachers should not listen to us when we are asleep.
  • give more exciting activities.
  • less hurt activities
  • Give a sensible behaviour
  • Showers we need to all fit in enough.
